Policy Outreach and Technology Manager

The Ordean Foundation is excited to announce we are hiring for a full-time Policy Outreach and
Technology Manager.

About the Role. The Policy Outreach and Technology Manager provides key policy insights,
community outreach, and technology expertise in support of the Ordean Foundation’s mission
to inspire, encourage and support effective community efforts to confront poverty and nurture
a healthy community for all residents.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Abilities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and follow-
    through;
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate
    multiple projects;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information;
  • Technological proficiency with AI, AI Tools, AI Prompt Design, Digital Media Production
    (video, audio, web), Word, Excel, Zoom, and aptitude to learn new software and
    systems;
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field or commensurate work experience
    is preferred.

Essential Duties. Essential duties for this role include:

Policy Insight and Outreach

  • Support our work and enhance impact with the ability to provide insight and a deep
    understanding of policy and regulatory issues and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and policymakers to advocate for policy
    changes that advance our mission and promote community wellbeing.
  • Support our mission, work, and partnerships with strategic community outreach and by
    representing the Ordean Foundation at community events and stakeholder meetings.
  • Foster strong community relationships to enhance mission driven and collaborative
    solutions.
  • Increase organizational bandwidth on special projects, partner outreach, and
    stakeholder engagement.

Technological Expertise and Support

  • Support the Ordean Foundation initiative to create a generative inquiry platform
    designed to enhance community engagement using prompt engineering, database
    management, and user support and education.
  • Leverage digital and traditional strategies across various platforms to enhance goals and
    objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and expertise on the implementation and use of technology
    to support projects, goals, and priorities.
  • Enhance impact through the strategic use of software and generative AI tools.
  • Provide administrative support of Foundation operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment. This position works at a computer for long periods
of time. This position must have the ability to prioritize and problem solve, meeting deadlines
on multiple projects and tasks. This position interacts with the community and attends
community functions.

Compensation and Benefits. Competitive compensation range of $75,000 - $90,000 (DOE) plus
a benefit package that includes paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, life insurance and
a 401k retirement plan.
