Ordean Foundation’s retiring program director Joe Everett was given $100,000 to make a difference. And he certainly did. The Family Freedom Center received the gift for a dream they had to create real, lasting change in the Black and BIPOC community in Central Hillside. START stands for Skilled, Trades, Arts, Robotics and Technology–a creative space focused around manufacturing, entrepreneurial development and creativity to expand youth’s horizon to see what is possible.
